Want to take a glance of what all Android Q has for you? Here’s a brief dropdown of the new features that are covered under Android Q:

Android Q will have a Dark theme that darkens the user interface. This will reduce the strain on the user’s eyes and even saves the battery life for a longer period. Users can set/schedule dark mode as per their requirement through Quick Settings Toggle.

Live Caption

Google has introduced a new live caption functionality for deaf users, so they can play videos with subtitles on their phones. You don’t need a data connection for this.

Parental Control & Monitoring

Parents will now be able to limit and monitor the access while being able to control the app installs, set app & screen limits, and various other parameters.

No back button

It’s time to say goodbye to back button with Android Q. With this update, swiping up will take you to “Home” screen, swiping up and holding will open the recent menus, and swiping from left or right will take you back.

Better theming options

Android Q is giving freedom to its users by giving new theming features. Users can change their phone’s accent color. The default color of the phone is iconic Pixel blue, but users can now .even try- black, green, purple, space, orchid, cinnamon, and ocean.

Improved share menu

As of now, no matter which phone you had, it took a few seconds to load the apps while you click on the Share option. But Android Q has made this feature fast and instant while users share files and images.

Better support for foldable phones

As foldable phones have become a buzzword in recent time, Android Q comes fully equipped with functionalities that provide seamless support for foldable phones. Android Q is expected to be perfectly optimized for all shape and sized phones.

Security Enhancements

Android Q comes with a set of enhanced security factors including- biometric authentication capability check, allowing users to authenticate via their password, PIN, or pattern in case they are unable to authenticate via biometric input. Moreover, Android Q runs embedded DEX code directly from APK which helps in preventing attacks on codes and other files.

Face ID style authentication

Similar to Face ID in iOS, Android Q is up with its Face ID style authentication feature that will allow users to log in and even make purchases simply by authenticating with face authentication.

Supports 5G networks

Android Q is the first operating system that will support 5G networks and provides dev tools for faster connectivity, and enhancing gaming experiences. It will even enable developers to get control of how much data should be provided to users in case of poor or limited data connections.

Wi-fi and QR codes

Instead of sharing or asking for Wi-fi password from your friends, Android Q allows you to create a QR code for your Wi-fi network or even scan a QR code if you need to join a Wi-fi network.

Undo app removal

Now worries if you have accidentally deleted an app from your phone, Android Q has a way out for you. After a few seconds of the app uninstallation, you’ll get an Undo button, and you can press it to undo the changes and get the app back in your phone.

Every moment, a huge customer data gets compromised due to regular data thefts. For now, Google is dedicatedly collaborating with Android Q to fix all these privacy issues at the earliest and keep the user data safe from any hacking attacks, data attacks, or malicious activities.
